Is Ed Balls Condoning Racism In Schools?

I read a very interesting piece in today’s Guardian (not known for being a Tory mouth piece) that seems to show Ed Balls is condoning racism in schools:

Maurice Smith, former chief inspector of schools, concludes: “I do not believe that barring teachers or other members of the wider school workforce from membership of legitimate [sic] organisations which may promote racism is necessary.”

Then further down the page:

The second shocking development here is that his recommendations were immediately accepted in full by the schools secretary, Ed Balls.

So we have Labour MP Denis MacShane quitting Total Politics because they interviewed Nick Griffin and yet Ed Balls appears to be saying that it’s okay for anyone with racist views to teach kids. Is the MacShane now going to quit the Labour party?
