The Bing TV Advert – As Irrelevent As Bing?

You’ve possibly seen the recent Bing TV advert – a woman and her son ask for some information on a train at a station. The man (and then surrounding people) then give her loads of information…none of it what she asked for and all irrelevant.

Kind of sums up Bing really.

I’ve run some searches for local companies that come up high on Google and Yahoo but nowhere on Bing. The fact that they are paying for TV ads to try and get more users probably sums it up – I can’t see it becoming recommended in the way that “to Google” has become a verb.
